Alternative Medicine

Alternative medicine is not rare anymore in the present. Because, we not only can find this method of treatment in remote villages. Today, alternative medicine commonly found in many big cities and also in other small cities in Indonesia.

Alternative medicine emerged as people started giving more attention to alterantif treatment usually relies on the parties only hospital (medical) with modern medicine. You could say also, alternative medicine is a complementary holistic medical treatment.

1. How to choose an alternative treatment

    * Find information about alternative medicine over the internet, magazines, newspapers, radio, TV, brochures, and testimony given by people who have undergone alternative treatment.
    * If you've got the information, ask whatever treatment they offer.
    * Meet the experts who are responsible in the respective treatment.
    * Find information on how therapists make diagnoses, whether in accordance with the rules prevailing in the community treatment or not.
    * Alternative medicine is right always returning to the herbal medicine, back to nature (a back to nature).
    * Select an appropriate alternative treatment with health problems that were suffered.

2. Types of alternative medicine

Alternative medicine is divided into three parts, namely:

b. Physical therapy, among others:

    * Aromatherapy
    * Hydrotherapy
    * Osteopathy
    * Relaxation Techniques
    * Zero Balancing

c. Energy therapies include:

    * Acupuncture, treatment with the stimulation of acupuncture points on the body surface.
    * Acupressure, way of treatment, with emphasis.
    * Meditation, mind control methods to achieve harmony in life. The benefits: Controlling blood pressure became stable, increasing oxygen intake, stabilize the heartbeat and breathing, to cope with stress.
    * Qigong reflexology, energy healing the body through the stimulation of the foot massages. The benefits: treatment of urinary system, rheumatism, metabolism and digestive system, nervous system and bone system, the immune system, reproductive system, respiratory system, sensory systems, and others.
